Nexus-Point Xenas

Arcane Nexus Rift · Arcane mechanics

Overview

Nexus-Point Xenas is a planar dungeon existing between arcane rifts. Rift Surge events periodically force the group to stack or spread based on the active rift polarity. Missed interrupts here trigger Surge cascades that can one-shot undergeared players.

Role Breakdown

🛡Tank

Contain rifts by pulling packs toward the edges of each room. Central rifts become cross-room hazards during boss fights. Position boss facing the wall nearest your healer's range.

💚Healer

Pre-top frames before every Rift Surge — the damage is instant and heavy. Coordinate interrupt rotation with DPS to ensure no Cascade goes through.

DPS

Build an interrupt rotation with your tank before entering. Every missed interrupt is a cascading Arcane damage event. Save AoE burst for Fragment clusters during add phases.

Boss Breakdown

1

Rift Architect Zarex

Polarity phase

  • Stack on positive polarity, spread on negative
  • Interrupt Arcane Cascade every 8 seconds
  • Tank: face Zarex to wall at all times
2

The Convergence

Add management

  • Kill Rift Fragments in priority order: Blue > Red > Yellow
  • Healer: absorb shield before Fragment detonation
  • Tank: drag boss through Fragment explosion zones for passive damage
3

Xenas the Unbound

Final boss — Unstable Rift

  • Interrupt Void Surge, not Arcane Bolt (common mistake)
  • Phase 2: position group center for safe rift drop zones
  • All DPS save major cooldowns for 30% transition

Affix Considerations

Explosive orbs in rift zones can be hard to see. Assign one ranged DPS to orb duty. Storming + Rift Surge timers often overlap — predetermine safe positions.
